The Atlantic Museum Project

The Atlantic Museum of Civilization Project was begun in 2014 as repository for research materials gathered for the forthcoming book series highlighting the adventures of the archaeologist Dusty Cavendish.

However, as soon as the first web page was begun, this project took on a life of its own. It has since evolved well beyond the initial idea. The creators now intend to create a virtual museum which will serve as a source of information and educational materials for anyone wanting to learn more about the world around them or about civilizations that have come before us.

This museum will not hold any physical collections, rather it seeks to serve as a doorway to the collections of the world. One of the gretest drawbacks of most museums is that, despite the quality of their collection, they are not accessible to everyone who wants to see them. Furthermore, there are a lot of neat things out there that non-archaeologists have never heard of and wouldn’t know to look for. Our aim is to make them accessible to everyone.
